The starter overrunning clutch on most starters is fairly simple to replace, but why is it seldom replaced?

more often than not the part by itself cant be bought, they do sell starter rebuilding kits aswell as alternator, but the cost being around the starter or alternator itself makes it more appealing to buy a whole new one. also its cheap insurance to that the starter wont break down because of something else again. i do remember my dad telling me that when he used to work on cars he would rebuild starters and alternators and reuse the working components and fix the ones that are broken because of the fact that a brand new starter was so expensive back in the day.

My friends mom has that too and it's because she is a heavier lady. It's a deposit of some kind and if the doctor sticks a needle in it, the pain goes away. Aren't game cartridges almost basically like pc video cards?

The console has the power switch like a pc, the cartridge goes ino the slot like a regular pci xpress or agp card in a pc, and the internal processor of the console reads the instructions or code from the card or catridge to get your video on screen, right? It seems very similar to how a video card would work in a pc.

You should reinforce it. Here's one way to do it. Glue and nail a piece of 1x2 to the back piece. Then nail the side to the 1x2. Run some glue on the side panel before nailing the side. If that is not able to be done, then glue if afterward. As far glue, get a product called PL400 construction adhesive. It's by the caulks in HD/Lowe's. Use #4d finish nails for the nailing. Now the only thing is you need to do one of 2 things. Either notch the shelf for the 1x2's installed, or put in pieces of 1x2, so they don't interfere with the shelves. I would notch the shelves. No because there's no reason for them to be cut. They aren't tame birds so there's no reason why they need to have them cut. They're normally only cut so that when you're having a play with your parrots they won't get anywhere dangerous. Zebra Finches aren't normally tamable. Zebra Finches also will become fat if they don't get excercise they require - flying. Finches won't be able to get around their cages without flying because they haven't got the build to be able to pull themselves up the wire to where they want to get. Best thing is to leave them with the best thing they have :D

Why won't my '99 Jeep Cherokee Sport start/fire? - related to draining battery?

Vehicle is a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L in-line 6cyl with 100k miles. It has always fired up immediately and run fine. I parked it in the garage and left town for a few days. Upon returning I found the battery dead (lights NOT left on, and only accessory left on was the inoperable rear wiper - and POSSIBLY the under-hood illumination) and a buzzing sound (presumably an arc/short) coming from the Junction Box under the hood. I opened the junction box and wiggled the relays, etc. This affected the sound (better and worse) but could not make it stop. I gently rapped the noisy one with the box cover once and the sound stopped. I trickle-charged the battery and now the engine turns over great but will not fire, at all. Whatever short drained the battery seems to be preventing the engine from firing up. Fuel pump relay? I was pretty sure that wasn't the one I struck with the box-top to quiet the buzzing. Was running fine, as usual, when I parked it - no warning.

I really want to lose 10 pounds by June 5th. I'm 14, 5'4, and weigh 150 pounds. I'm allowing myself 1000 calories a day, and I don't have any problems with it. Starting Monday I ran one mile. Tuesday I walked 2 miles. Tonight I will run another mile. So far I haven't had any success, and I'm not sure why. I think it's either because: I'm weighing myself at least twice a day an obsessing, I'm not taking in enough calories, or I'm gaining muscle weight. The thing is, people are telling me that 1000 calories are not enough. They are for me! My usual daily diet is: breakfast: Pure Protein bar, or Atkins Protein shake. For lunch: Chicken salad on crackers or peanut er and jelly sandwich with apple slices or fresh strawberries. For a snack: A Full Bar (to keep me full till dinner) For dinner: I usually eat smoked salmon with vegetables, grilled chicken with rice, or something along the line of that. We eat out probably twice a week, but I get mostly very healthy choices. For instance at Applebees I get the grilled shrimp n' spinach salad. My daily intake of water is usually 2 cups...please tell me what is wrong with this diet or what needs to be added! Thanks!

How do you Plan a Biker Poker Run? and how does it work?

When I lay out a poker run I start at a motorcycle shop. that way the owner will kick in some goodies to be used as prizes or to be raffeled off at the end of the run. I use a map of the local area and then measure the distance on the map. Then I ride it to be sure every road is properly named. I get permission at pic-a-pack gas stations to use their parking lot as a card stop. that way the reiders can take a bathroom break if need be. I usually end it at a local park or comunity center where we have plat lunches cooking for the benefit. make it between 75 and 100 miles long. Remember some riders may come as far as a 100 miles or so to ride in the event. they will be too tired that night and may not want to come back next year because of this. We sually charge $10 for the first hand and 45 for each extra hand. Start sign up about 9 a.m. withe the ride about 3 hours long. I don't use the interstate at all. Just good paved back roads.We usually give $100 to the winner and then goodies to the 2nd and 3rd place. Try to start advertising no later than 2 months before the run is to take place. Riders have to put it on their calender. Be sure you do not pick a day when any big event is going on in your area, play off games, other bike or car events. Open it up to clic car people also, then have a car and bike show after the run to make more money.

How do I make a fleece tie blanket??

They are very very easy. You just need to get one or two peices of fleece, what ever length you want. Two peices will make the blanket warmer. You can get diffrent colors, styles, what ever you want that you think will go together. Just lay the peices wrong sides together ( so that the sides that you want to see on both sides are out). Cut a square out of each corner of the blanket. Then just cut stripes of fabric how ever thick and how ever long you want. I only cut one or two at a time or you will get confused. Then you just tie them together with two knots. I dont know if that makes any sense or not. You can actually buy kits at places like Jo Ann Fabrics. They look like a sleeping bag and they are sold by the fleece. You can practice on one of those before you do the real thing. Or even just go buy some scrap fleece and practice before you do the real thing. Im sure if you ask the ladies at the fabric counter at Jo Anns they could show you how to make them also. I would buy a little bit of extra fleece though and wash it before you start because sometimes it does shrink alittle. Good Luck!

8 month old won't sleep im going Nuts!?

my baby did the same thing. Raising your voice really won't help, even if it does alleviate the stress for a moment. I've gone through nights when my 8 month old just would NOT go to sleep until 3 in the morning (sometimes even later!). I would have to put her in the bouncy seat, or "exersaucer" or do something until she got tired. Until I stopped fighting it, I became happier and less frustrated! Sometimes going online until she stopped making all the noise helped. If you have to go to work the next morning, it will be tough. Is there someone else who can help you through these tough nights? Bad back pains any advice?

I have had a chronic back problem now for about 3 years. I have been to so many doctor, surgens, back specialist, physiotherypy, chiropractors............The pain has caused me to quit 2 jobs already. It gets to the point where the pain is to much and then I must quit because I can't get a clear dignoises the the companys don't believe me. Both times it has healed 90% after 9months and then 9 months later becomes unbearable. I always have good days and bad days and the pain never completely goes away, doesn't really matter what I do, sit, lay, stand. Bending is the worst for it and walking, exercises don't help. Have tried back braces but no good either. Pain killers have no affect, feels like a tooth ach in my lower back and sometimes shoots into my legs and sometime tingles and goes numb. URGENT !! ..Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome with Cervical Cancer !!!!?

I SUFFER FROM VASCULAR EHLERS DANLOS SYNDROME AND ALSO HYPERMOBILE EDS...I am 43 and already extremely ill. I recently finally have been also diagnosed with early menopause and on top of all my many meds i have had no choice but to start HRT also.....I was just desperate. If that wasn't enough i have just been told that i have been found to have cervical cancer which has appearred rapidly. I am obviously deeply shocked and upset but know that i have to do the work as my Docs here simpy know nothing about EDS full stop and even though they can see how dreadfully immobile I am, and have also had a ruptured aorta and approx 7 other 'critical episodes'. How to shut down a roadside zoo?

I visited a "Game Farm" recently that was horrible. The size of the animal enclosures is saddening. The big cats and wolves have no room to even run and nothing to enrich them, and the bears are only being held in their small enclosures by the fear of being shocked by an electric fence. I believe that these animals are unhappy and would be much better suited in much larger enclosures elsewhere. I have been to sanctuaries where the animals have had as much as 25 acres to roam free. The Game Farm animals are caged in enclosures that are no bigger than my living room. The Game Farm to me is more like a roadside zoo. Is anything being done to improve this situation or shut down this place? So far I have emailed the state's Department of Fish and Wildlife and haven't gotten a reply yet. I was standing in line at a convenience store when I heard what sounded like the tail end of a reporter stating that Raley's Supermarkets were found to have sold contaminated juice. Low body temp, is it a fever?

I have been sick with a bronchitis like cold, if not bronchitis, for the past three days. Today it has moved into my sinus cavity as well. I have many symptoms such as chest conjustion, sinus conjustion, sore through, ear aches, itching ears and throat, clammy hands and I have been hot. I have taken my temperature and it was 97.8 and 96.4 each time. I have super clammy and hot, almost sweaty, around the time taking my temp. Does that mean it was another form of a fever or not. My female guppy was in perfect condition, swimming eating etc.etc. However, about an hour ago, I noticed that my once pale/blue tailed looking guppy female is now completely black, the body of my poor guppy has turned black like coal. Furthermore, she is swimming in a wilting, barely shifting way and is not active as used to be. All the other guppies look fine, swimming happily w/ the others and the water conditions seem ok. Please tell me there is a way to save her, I have grown attached to them, if she is to die, dont tell, just give solutions. I would like to know if this has happened to previous guppy owners. I think she may have been injured by the filter, but why would the whole body turn black? so I am asking for help at the middle of the night.pls help.
