Louisiana Traffic Ticket with Accident? What are my options?

Go defend yourself. Bring your copy of the ticket with you. Since the officer did not witness the accident it should be easy to get out of the ticket. Just tell your side of the story, tell them you swerved to miss a deer or something and got off the road. They "the police" can not prove without reasonable doubt that is not what happened. What do you have to loose?
