Would an 8th grader go out with a 7th grader?

If the 7th grader was the girl and 8th was the guy? like would the other guys or girls make fun of them? I am asking because I am going into 7th grade and EVERY boy in my cl is either perverted,a player,smokes dope,or is very immature.But the 8th grade guys are really nice,cute,and mature.And the guys in my cl won't even say that you are his girlfriend so Do 8th grade guys like PDA? cause I'm totally into that.I like holding hands and kissing at school but I don't know if guys will do that ?
