What's your favorite Country music sub genre and why?

First of all, George Strait is NOT country pop, he is just about the only true country singer left. Country pop is that Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban noise. Anyway, I like what you're refering to as the Bakersfield Sound. I love Merle Haggard and Buck Owens. Also, Dwight Yoakam is very talented and sounds kinda like them.
