Do you believe that the historical ownership arguments presented in this forum have any validity to them?

Both sides seem to be cutting and pasting, posting articles and youtube videos, etc. in order for them to reinforce their opinions as to the historical ownership of the land of Israel/Palestine. Does it really matter what the historians say since it certainly isn't going to change anything?
