Dumb to have 2 weddings?

Me and my fiance don't have much money right now so we were thinking that we could have a small wedding in our backyard in december (our fave month) then when we get more money like 3 years later we could have another wedding (vowel renewal) and wear white and the whole traditional thing except in the first wedding we would have like 20 people there and in the 2nd we would have a HUGE wedding like everyone we know there. Does that sound dumb to do?
